    La col·lecció d'imatges Landsat 5 TM pertanyen al sensor multiespectral Thematic Mapper (TM) embarcat en el cinquè satèl·lit del programa Landsat d'observació de la Terra. Aquestes imatges són captades des del març de l'any 1984 fins l'actualitat sobre la superfície de la Terra amb una cobertura completa cada 16 dies. Les imatges estan formades per set bandes entre l'espectre visible, infraroig i tèrmic. La resolució espacial de les bandes és, aproximadament, de 30 metres menys la banda tèrmica amb 120 metres.
